Heroufut is a free social casino with a single game at its heart: The Twenty-First Leaf, a blackjack table laid out like a page of an old book. Your hand on one column, the house on the other, and a purse of play coins that costs nothing.

The first chapter
How this book came to be written
The oldest stories share a shape. Someone sets out with very little, meets a choice that cannot be undone, and either draws the card that changes everything or wisely leaves well alone. We liked that shape, and we noticed that blackjack carries it in miniature: two cards, a decision, a reveal.
So we built Heroufut around a single table and gave it the dress of a hand-copied page — ultramarine ink for the words that matter, vermilion for the turns of fortune, and gold for the numbers worth remembering. There is no lobby to wander, no shelf of other games to scroll past. One table, one rule set, played well.
Nothing here is for sale. The coins in your purse are counters, the way pebbles mark a score in a game played by the fire. They reset when you leave, they cannot be bought, and they carry no value outside this page. That is the whole of the arrangement, and we would rather say it plainly than tuck it into small print.

The order of play
A round, told in four movements
The house draws to sixteen and stands on every seventeen, soft or hard. That rule never bends.
Set a stake
Tap the coin squares — 10, 20, 50 or 100 — to build a stake no larger than your purse.
Receive two leaves
You and the house each get two cards. One of the house’s cards stays face down until your turn ends.
Choose your path
Hit for another card, stand on what you hold, or double the stake for exactly one more.
Read the ending
The house plays its fixed rule, then the page settles: win, loss, or a push that returns your stake.
